I'm giving away 2 hardcover copies of Heraclix & Pomp here:
http://booklikes.com/giveaways
These are the finished product, not an ARC. Both will be signed by me (and not a robot - sorry, Grim).
Please let all your Booklikes friends know! I'm letting the Booklikes algorithm pick the winner, so no favoritism here - everyone has an equal chance of winning! Eligible countries are US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
Good luck! The book is even prettier in person than in the picture!
One fantastic writer says goodbye to another.

The Indiegogo campaign to fund A Final Act of Cruelty has only eight days left. We're only $95 away from the $1280 goal!
Feel free to share!
The happy birthday wishes are lovely, and thank you all for stopping by to say something kind for this *mumble*ty-fifth year!
New Review! THE DAY OF THE LOCUST by Nathanael West
It's a Hollywood story of the sharpest wit; it's timeless, it's unkind, and it's bitterly amusing. West's last book before his early death. hmmmm
New Review! WHAT MAKES SAMMY RUN? by BUdd Schulberg
For my money, still the best Hollywood-themed novel ever written. Oddly enough, it still hasn't been filmed...despite Ben Stiller wanting to make it. I wonder why, he asked, glancing at the sharp edges of the novel's characterizations....
New Review! THE ASTOUNDING, THE AMAZING, & THE UNKNOWN by Paul Malmont
It's a long title for a fun book. SciFi legends like Heinlein and Asimov doing spy work during WWII! We've all heard of the Philadelphia Experiment...well, here's a novelistic take on it that does the facts justice.
SOMEONE remembered my birthday a little early...I thought it was my Gentleman Caller, but he (disgruntledly!) disclaimed responsibility for sending me a four-pack of Mother's brand Taffy flavored cookies, aka "Best Junk Food EVER!"
Amazon put the wrong card on the order, of this I am sure, as it says "We hope you like it, Chris and family." The only Chris I know well enough to think would send me a gift 1) spells her name "Cris" and b) would NEVER send such an unhealthful, bad-for-me thing! So, whoever it was, thanks most awfully and now I'm slicing open the first pack of the four. *smooch*
